KUWAIT CITY, July 28: The Operations Sector, led by Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior Major General Yousef Al-Khudah, through the General Traffic Department, has continued its efforts to maintain traffic control and coordination. From July 20 to 26, traffic officers conducted campaigns resulting in the issuance of 43,098 traffic violations. Additionally, 83 juveniles were referred to the Juvenile Prosecution for driving without a license, and 93 vehicles were impounded for serious violations such as illegal tinting or failing to meet safety standards. Furthermore, 56 motorcycles were impounded, some for violating the motorcycle ban period from 11 am to 4 pm.
The campaigns also led to the arrest of 36 individuals for serious violations, the seizure of 46 vehicles wanted by the judiciary, and the recovery of a stolen vehicle. During the same period, authorities arrested seven residency law violators, four expatriates for fraud, and ten individuals wanted for arrest. Traffic police responded to 1,247 accidents, with 212 resulting in deaths or injuries.

- Capital Traffic Police: 5,458 violations
- Hawalli Traffic Police: 5,296 violations
- Farwaniya Traffic Police: 7,092 violations
- Ahmadi Traffic Police: 3,047 violations
- Jahra Traffic Police: 4,513 violations
- Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate Traffic Police: 4,578 violations
- Tasks Police: 424 violations
The Ministry of Interior has reiterated its commitment to conducting frequent surprise security campaigns, led by the General Administration of Correctional Institutions and in cooperation with the General Administration of Special Forces. These efforts aim to eliminate contraband in prisons, prevent disorder, and curb the spread of illicit items among inmates.
