KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: Al Jarida has learned from informed sources within the Ministry of Higher Education that Acting Undersecretary Lamia Al-Melhem has submitted her resignation at her own request. She will continue to fulfill her duties until the end of this month.
The sources also stated that "no leader has been appointed to replace her as of yet." However, a decision is expected soon from the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who is also the Acting Minister of Education, to assign someone temporarily until a permanent replacement is named.
