Ministry of Health takes vaccination campaign to care homes

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: The Ministry of Health after ensuing the elderly people received the second dose for COVID-19 at Hall 6 of the Fairgrounds in Mishref, took its campaign to the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs and the Elderly Care Home of the Ministry of Social Affairs to vaccinate the disabled persons.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health for Public Health Affairs, Dr Buthaina Al-Mudhaf said campaign is part of the plan of the Ministry of Health to vaccinate what she called ‘target groups’.

Al-Mudhaf said in a press statement on the sidelines of the campaign, that the Ministry of Health is keen to vaccinate this group. She added, all those living in care homes will be immunized while at the same time vaccinating the employees of the nursing homes and care centers. She said such people are most vulnerable to infection and most vulnerable to complications in the case of infection with the corona virus.

Al- Mudhaf emphasized the campaign will continue to provide services to these groups – for those who wish to receive the vaccine and those who meet the requirements in the interest of the society and best interest of those who are willing to receive it.
