KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali Al-Sabah recently supervised the operation to rescue 21 people who were on a boat which malfunctioned, prompting them to request for help through emergency Hotline No.112, reports Al-Anba daily. The minister went to the naval base in Al-Jula’a where acting Assistant Undersecretary for Border Security Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major General Mubarak Al-Amiri welcomed him. The minister issued instructions to the maritime patrols and forces in determining the location of the boat, taking into consideration the difficult climatic conditions that caused the rise of waves and instability of the sea.

The rescuers pulled the boat towards the berth of the base, while the medical team checked the health condition of those on board the boat and then the ministry provided the means of transportation for them to return to their respective homes.
