KUWAIT CITY, Sept 20, (Agencies): Minister of Justice and Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Yaqoub Al-Sanea dismissed local reports suggesting that he had informed Acting Premier and Minister of Interior Sheikh Mohammad Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah about his intention to resign. “These reports are totally baseless and divorced from reality,” the minister said in a press statement on Tuesday, attacking local mass media for having recently fabricated news reports in violation of professional and ethical rules. He urged mass media to ensure crediblity and ehtics and to get information only from his office or the cabinet.

However, he appreciated the relentless support of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Hihgness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah.

Furthermore, the judicial authority is not exempted from the rationalization of expenditures in State institutions and authorities, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources. Sources clarified the judiciary has agreed on the rationalization of expenses for participation in international events and activities, as well as hosting meetings and conferences.

Sources also hinted on the possibility of issuing a new bylaw on delegation, indicating the rationalization process in the authority should be in line with conditions for administrative and financial autonomy in view of the expected ratification of the Judiciary Independence Bill
