KUWAIT CITY, March 14: Minister of Public Works and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Ali Al-Mousa inaugurated on Sunday the activities of the Youth Theater Days Festival in its 13th edition, which will continue until March 20 at Dasma Theater. In his opening speech, Minister Al- Mousa said that this festival is considered one of the most important artistic and cultural youth events, which are of importance because of their role and impact on the Kuwaiti artistic movement, highlighting the artistic abilities of the young participants, refining their theatrical talents and advancing them to the artistic arena.

He referred to the State of Kuwait’s celebration on Sunday of the Kuwaiti Youth Day, which falls on March 13, and indicated that they are the wealth of Kuwait and with their help can build the country, and that the authority is always proactive in supporting and caring for young people, embracing their energies and empowering them at all levels to unleash their potential and creativity. For his part, the festival’s president, Muhammad Al-Mazal, said that the event presents many theatrical performances and is a platform that brings together theatrical creators under one roof, with the participation of distinguished theater groups, and he called on the audience to attend and enjoy theatrical performances.

Al-Mazal added that the festival this year will be different in terms of the idea and the work of the participating teams, as its main idea is based on the impact of theater on society, pointing to the honoring of the winning teams at the end of the festival. The opening ceremony witnessed the presentation of a short theatrical performance and honoring of Minister Al-Mousa, Director General of the Public Authority for Youth, Dr. Mishaal Al-Shaheen Al-Rabaie, and members of the technical committee concerned with selecting theatrical performances participating in the festival, (KUNA).
