Minister Al-Aqeel suspends offending expatriate staff

KUWAIT, July 15: Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Minister of Social Affairs Maryam Al-Aqeel said on Wednesday she had notified the public prosecution about an illegal act by an expatriate staff at the department.


The said employee had stolen blank papers bearing the ministry logo and was caught red handed, carrying the ministry general registration stamp.
The minister said in a statement to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that a probe panel recommended that the personnel be referred to the general prosecution for he was suspected of intending to illegally use the stamp and the ministry papers.

Minister Al-Aqeel added that she also issued a decision, suspending an assistant undersecretary against the backdrop of outcome of the panel investigation.

The panel final report has been also submitted to the prosecution, pending forecast procedures in this regard.(KUNA)
