KUWAIT CITY, Oct 15: Microsoft recently unveiled a new update for Windows operating systems, aiming to rectify numerous software vulnerabilities present in these systems.
Official statements from Microsoft highlight that the security update, released last Tuesday, targeted and resolved 104 software vulnerabilities found in Windows systems. This included 45 vulnerabilities associated with remote code execution, with 12 of them identified as significant vulnerabilities posing a risk of potential computer hacking.
The comprehensive update also tackled 26 software issues linked to privileges within Windows systems and 17 vulnerabilities related to "denial of service" concerns.
Noteworthy vulnerabilities that were successfully addressed included "CVE-2023-41763," a privilege systems vulnerability linked to Skype for Business applications.
Additionally, the update addressed "CVE-2023-36563," a security vulnerability present in Windows systems related to the "Microsoft WordPad" software, along with the "CVE-2023-44487" vulnerability.
