LOS ANGELES, Nov 20, (Agencies): Film producer Irwin Winkler has spilled the beans on the upcoming Creed IV, confirming that the project is indeed in development and will be helmed by none other than Michael B. Jordan himself! At 92, Winkler shared that filming is slated to kick off in approximately a year. When pressed about Jordan’s involvement as a director, Winkler playfully broke the news to the audience.

Though he jokingly mentioned, “I’m not supposed to say, but he will be,” the crowd erupted in laughter, revealing the exciting collaboration. Winkler’s revelation followed the confirmation of the movie’s existence in the same interview. He noted that the SAG-AFTRA strike caused a slight delay in the pre-production process but expressed enthusiasm for extending the legacy of the Rocky franchise.

Intriguingly, Winkler hinted at the creative prowess behind Creed IV, stating, “We think we have a really good story, a really good plot,” emphasizing the promise of an engaging sports-drama narrative. Jordan, having already showcased his directorial skills in Creed III, where he also portrayed Adonis Johnson Creed, the son of the legendary Apollo Creed from the Rocky films, is set to continue his dual role in the director’s chair and in front of the camera. The third installment made history with its release in March 2023, securing the title of the biggest domestic opening for a sports film. Now, with the anticipation building for Creed IV, fans can look forward to another exciting chapter in the iconic franchise under Jordan’s directorial vision.
