Medals of Glory: Kuwaiti Champions Recognized for Asian Games Achievements

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 7: The Minister of Commerce and Industry and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, Mohammed Al-Aiban, honored Kuwaiti champions who won various medals in the 19th Asian Games competitions before the start of the fourth round of the Kuwait Premier Football League (Zain League) between the Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Arabi teams at Jaber International Stadium. The ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Public Authority for Sports, Yousef Al-Baidan.

Minister Al-Aiban expressed his pride in the Asian champions who achieved honorable results and various medals in the tournament, stressing the government’s keenness to support athletes in a way that contributes to them achieving the best results. The audience celebrated the champion shooters Abdullah Al-Taraqi, Talal Al-Taraqi, Abdul Rahman Al-Faihan, and Khaled Al-Mudhaf, as well as the runner Yaqoub Al-Youha, the player Yousef Al-Shamlan, and the Kuwaiti handball team, which won third place and the bronze medal.

The Kuwaiti delegation participating in the Asian Games held in Hangzhou has won ten medals, including three gold, four silver, and three bronze. (KUNA)
