MADRID, Aug 27: The judicial committee of the French Professional Football League will begin reviewing Kylian Mbappé's complaint against his former club, Paris Saint-Germain, this week. Mbappé accuses PSG of failing to pay him €55 million.

The committee will first examine the submitted documents. In the next phase, it will summon both parties to present their arguments and defend their positions, according to L'Equipe.

Mbappé, who left PSG as a free agent after his contract expired on June 30 to join Real Madrid, is seeking €55 million from his former team. This amount covers unpaid salaries and bonuses accumulated over his six-season tenure with PSG. Last week, the French newspaper Le Monde reported that Mbappé had also lodged a complaint with the European Football Association (UEFA) over his unpaid dues. He is requesting part of his annual loyalty bonus and three months' salary.

The legal committee is tasked with prohibiting a French club from signing new contracts if it is confirmed that the club has not met its financial obligations to a player. On August 13, Mbappé formally notified the French Football Federation of his dispute and his appeal to UEFA for resolution.
