ERBIL, Iraq, June 13: A massive fire broke out at the asphalt storage facility of an oil refinery in Erbil province last night. Security sources and eyewitnesses reported that ten firefighting teams were deployed to control the blaze.
Thick smoke rose hundreds of meters into the air, covering a large area. Civil defense teams have cordoned off the site to prevent the fire from spreading further. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. No casualties have been reported at this time.
