KUWAIT CITY, May 4: Personnel from General Immigration Department have arrested an Arab man, working as a representative (mandoub) for an unidentified company and referred him to the Public Prosecution for completion transactions for money, reports Al-Anba daily.The arrest came upon instruction of the Assistant Undersecretary for Citizenship and Passports Affairs at the Interior Ministry Major-General Mazen Al-Jarrah.The source said the bribe was discovered when an unidentified man, refused to give permission for his wife to transfer her residence permit from Article 22 to Article 18.The suspect convinced the woman that he knows senior officers at the General Immigration Department and he can help her transfer without the knowledge of the husband for KD 250. When the husband came to know that the wife had transferred the residence, he filed a complaint and orders were issued to set a trap and arrest the mandoub. The suspect was caught while offering his services to a police agent. He has been referred to the concerned authorities.
