KUWAIT CITY, May 8: The Director of the Information Systems Department at the Ministry of Health, Eng. Ahmad Al-Gharib, revealed that the ‘Mana’a’ (Immune ) application will be updated within the next few days to activate the digital vaccination certificate and will include most of the information related to travel inside and outside the country such as vaccination certificates and PCR swabs.

In a press conference, Al-Gharib said once a person receives the second dose of the vaccine or gets the first dose after infection, he/she can obtain a digital certificate of vaccination through an immune application, and this certificate will remain in ‘red’ for 14 days after receiving the vaccine, and then it will be listed in the green box. He explained there are some people whose certificates are listed in the application under ‘green’ despite not being infected with the virus or have received the second dose, and they are the people who received the first dose more than five weeks ago but they have not been issued a vaccine certificate.

Al-Gharib pointed out that the application ‘Immune’ will be activated internationally during the next week, so that the new data and information will be added within the application to reduce manipulation or forgery, as the swabs and vaccination certificates will be added with the addition of the batch number that the person received from the vaccine, the site, and the passport number as well. The Supervisor of Information Management Systems Development and the Center for Technological Advancement, Musaed Al-Huwaishel, indicated the activation and updating of the Mana’a (Immune) application will facilitate the travel, students and others, so that they do not have an obstacle either in leaving or entering the country, noting the importance of the application to facilitate the movement of residents and not to be subjected to quarantine.
