KUWAIT CITY, April 24: MP Mohammed Al-Dalal has submitted a query to the Minister of Finance about the technical inspection of aircraft in Kuwait.

In the query the lawmaker said according to a news report the international organization designated for technical and engineering control of aviation and aircraft has refused to give such authorization for engineers working for the Kuwait aviation industry — inspect and repair Kuwait aircraft and aircraft of other airlines.

The suspension is a kind of punishment for the Kuwait Airways Corporation and the Kuwait International Airport which can damage the reputation of the State of Kuwait and its official airline, in addition to damage to the reputation of the aviation engineers hired by the KAC.

The MP wanted to know if this news is true. He also wants to know, if it is true, what action the KAC has taken in this regard and when this situation is expected to be rectified.

He also wants to know if the KAC has studied the negative effects of the decision to stop aviation engineers from carrying out maintenance work of the Kuwaiti aircraft and other airlines which use the Kuwait Airport.

He wants to know in details what negative consequences will this decision have on Kuwait Airways in general and aviation engineers in particular and on the relationship between the Kuwait Airways and other airlines and how the Kuwait Airways plan to address these negatives.
