KUWAIT CITY, Oct 6: A noticeable decline in the revenues of the public transport company has raised questions about its conditions; considering the increase in the number of malfunctioning buses and loss of 9,506 trips last year, reports Al-Shahid daily quoting sources.

Sources revealed the transport company canceled a large number of letters on organizing trips, which led to losses estimated at KD353,000 and termination of 65 percent of its drivers.

Sources attributed this to the company’s delayed collection of dues for some investment sites. Sources said the company signed contracts with consulting firms, but it was discovered later that their contracts with the Ministry of Finance were not renewed.
