KUWAIT CITY, May 29: The gas stations of private companies were crowded during the weekend and one of these companies announced the disruption of its gas station services due to manpower shortage, reports Al-Jarida daily quoting a reliable source. According to the source, the local filling companies have asked for the approval of Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) to impose an additional fee for services provided at the stations, which ranges from 150 fils and 200 fils for each filling.

However, KNPC has stressed the need to adhere to the price that the Finance Ministry set for a liter of gasoline; clarifying that the additional fee for services depends on the relationship of companies with their customers. The source revealed that some companies are experiencing manpower problems, pointing out the fuel companies affiliated to KNPC are operating at full capacity and there has been no deficiency in their work procedures.
