Live squabble on Kuwait TV Sports Channel

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 6: The Information Ministry has denounced the recent squabble in the show, ‘Between Two Halves,’ on the Sports Channel of the State of Kuwait, reports Al-Rai daily. Official spokesperson of the ministry, Anwar Murad, affirmed in a press statement that the ministry will take the necessary measures to prevent the recurrence of such incidents initiated either by broadcasters who must adhere to the principles of media professionalism or guests who should refrain from uttering offensive words.

Murad stressed that the ministry is committed to the principle of impartiality, as it believes in putting the media message above all considerations. She pointed out that the ministry’s sectors operate according to the principles, regulations and systems which entail accountability for any violation to ensure the media message is conveyed properly.
