Lil Tay.

LOS ANGELES, Nov 15, (Agencies): Five years after capturing the internet's attention as a viral sensation, the provocative rapper and influencer Lil Tay found herself thrust back into the spotlight in August 2023. Initially, news of her premature demise at the age of 14 surfaced on her Instagram page, only to be followed by a surprising twist the next day when her family claimed her account had been hacked, asserting her well-being.

The following month marked the release of Tay's debut single, "Sucker 4 Green," a move that raised more questions than it answered about the peculiar timing of her comeback.

As the months passed since the controversial death announcement, the true orchestrator behind the elaborate hoax remains shrouded in mystery. In her first interview post-hoax, Lil Tay offers limited insights into her journey from viral sensation to a sudden social media disappearance in 2018. This disappearance coincided with a heated legal battle between her parents, Angela Tian and Christopher Hope. Tay points fingers at her estranged father, accusing him of plotting to "sabotage" her planned return to the limelight.

Lil Tay initially rose to online stardom in 2018 at the tender age of nine, branding herself as the "youngest flexer of the century." Her controversial social media posts featured her seemingly engaging in adult activities, such as smoking, driving luxury cars, and flaunting large sums of money. Additionally, she briefly clashed with Danielle Bregoli, also known as Bhad Bhabie, and made waves with a memorable interview by Jake Paul in a YouTube video that has garnered over 1.6 million views to date.
