Verbal argument leads to ‘shooting in air’ at Kuwait airport

KUWAIT CITY, May 23: An officer with the rank of colonel, assigned at Kuwait International Airport, filed a case against a first lieutenant who is also working at the airport when the latter fired his weapon into the air due to a verbal argument that took place between them at work, reports Al-Seyassah daily, No one was harmed in the shooting incident and the first lieutenant is said to have left the country. A security source confirmed that the securitymen removed the bullet casings from the site of the incident. He said investigations are ongoing under the supervision of senior security officials. A case was registered and the necessary measures are being taken to arrest the accused.
