KUWAIT CITY, Sept 23: The Public Prosecution has decided to detain fashionista Jamal Al-Najada for another one day to conclude investigation into an allegation leveled against her of insulting members of the Public Prosecution in a recorded voice clip.

The Cybercrime Unit of the Criminal Investigation Department seized the fashionista Jamal Al-Najada and referred her to the prosecution. A warrant for her arrest was issued following a report issued by the Cybercrime Unit and the Deputy Attorney General.

The order came against the background of the spread of an audio recording attributed to her that contained serious abuse to the Public Prosecution Office, after it investigated the suspicions referred to it by the Financial Investigation Unit over the inflation of bank accounts and suspicion of money laundering. She allegedly committed the offense after she was interrogated over the money laundering allegation, which she denied and was released on KD 20,000 bail.
