Lebanon’s newly appointed Ambassador, Ghadi Khoury, receives a warm welcome on his arrival in Kuwait.

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 9: After nine years of vacancy, the newly appointed Lebanese Ambassador to Kuwait, Ghadi Khoury, arrived Monday, becoming the first ambassador appointed since 2016. Lebanese Chargé d’Affaires Mia Al-Adham and a group of Arab ambassadors and diplomats warmly welcomed Khoury at the airport VIP lounge. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam met with Khoury before he departed for Kuwait to assume his new duties. He provided the latter with the necessary guidance, wishing him success in strengthening bilateral relations between Lebanon and the State of Kuwait.

It is worth noting that Khoury is the first Lebanese ambassador to Kuwait to be appointed since 2016, as the embassy had been managed by chargés d’affaires for nine years, the last of whom was Ahmed Arafa. Khoury served Lebanon in several countries, most recently the Vatican, where he served as ambassador to the Holy See.
