Lebanese Lawyer Accused of Orchestrating Grade Manipulation for Kuwaiti Students

BEIRUT, Nov 10: Following up on the daily’s report of October 12 edition on Lebanon’s investigations into the forgery of Kuwaiti students’ results, a source familiar with the investigation revealed the involvement of several individuals, including a Lebanese lawyer identified only as M.S., reports Al- Seyassah daily. The source explained that the lawyer received thousands of dollars in financial transfers from Kuwaiti students in exchange for falsifying their university grades and manipulating exam results, allowing them to pass illegally.

The lawyer acted as an intermediary, coordinating with other parties to add undeserved grades for several students. The State Security sector’s Inquiry and Investigation Department documented all evidence and data regarding the lawyer’s involvement. The Public Prosecutor of Mount Lebanon, Judge Sami Sader, referred the case to the Beirut Bar Association to obtain permission to prosecute the lawyer, as the suspect enjoys professional immunity that prevents his arrest or prosecution without the Bar Association’s approval
