KUWAIT CITY, March 22: The Disciplinary Board in the First Instance Court ordered the suspension of a lawyer from practicing his profession for one year for appropriating the funds of a person whom he did not represent in court, says Al-Seyassah. The board also suspended another lawyer for six months for missing court appointments and causing the three-year imprisonment of his client.
These decisions were taken after Kuwait Lawyers Society referred the two lawyers to the board. The Public Prosecution had earlier charged the lawyers with violating rules governing the legal profession and for degrading the profession. The disciplinary case was referred to the court in the Capital Governorate.
