KUWAIT CITY, July 6: The Court of Appeal, presided over by Counselor Hassan Al-Shammari, has sentenced a lawyer to five years in prison with hard labor after finding him guilty in a bribery case. The Public Prosecution charged the lawyer with offering a bribe to a public official in return for facilitating legal procedures on behalf of his clients. He was caught in the act following prior coordination with the relevant regulatory authorities. The court’s decision was based on both technical and documentary evidence that substantiated the charges against him.
