KUWAIT CITY , Dec 21: Nayef Al-Failakawi, a Board Member of the Kuwait Volleyball Federation and Chairman of the Training and National Teams Committee, disclosed plans for the initiation of training for the national youth team, comprised of individuals born in 2005. The training is scheduled to commence at 2:30 pm tomorrow at the Federation Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Sports Complex. This preparatory effort aims to ready the team for their upcoming participation in the first Gulf Youth Games set to take place in Dubai, UAE, from April 16 to May 2.
Al-Failakawi outlined that the training program, under the guidance of the technical staff led by national coach Jassim Al-Tarrawa, assisted by Egyptian coach Osama Madkour, team doctor Dr. Moataz Ezz El-Din, and team supervisor Talal Jassim, will be conducted in two phases. The first group, consisting of players born in 2005 and university students, will commence training tomorrow following the completion of academic tests for eleventh and twelfth graders. Subsequently, the remaining players born in 2006 and 2007 will join the training sessions to ensure their academic commitments are met.
The daily training regimen will persist in a single session until the team embarks on an external camp in Cairo, Egypt, for a duration of 15 days in the latter half of January. Al-Failakawi emphasized the diligent efforts of the Air Force Federation to meticulously prepare the team, aspiring for a noteworthy performance in the forthcoming Gulf Youth Games.
