KUWAIT CITY, July 10: The Kuwaiti national swimming team departed for Bahrain yesterday to take part in the 29th Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Swimming Championship set to take place over two days—today and tomorrow.
The delegation, led by Ali Al-Enezi, includes a group of talented young swimmers who have undergone intensive training as part of their preparation for this key regional event, which is regarded as one of the most significant competitions in Gulf swimming.
The Technical Committee of the Kuwait Aquatics Federation affirmed that this participation is a key component of the team’s broader development strategy, designed to sharpen athletes' skills and elevate their readiness for upcoming continental and international tournaments.
The committee also expressed high hopes for strong performances that showcase the progress of Kuwaiti swimming, progress made possible through the ongoing support of the Public Authority for Sports and the Federation’s Board of Directors, chaired by Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr.
