KUWAIT CITY, July 14: Minister of Public Works Dr. Noura Al-Mashaan confirmed on Monday that fieldwork is ongoing across various locations in Kuwait under newly signed contracts for comprehensive road maintenance.

The minister stated that this initiative is part of the Ministry’s strategic plan to enhance the efficiency of the national road network and upgrade its infrastructure in accordance with the highest technical standards.

In a press statement, Dr. Al-Mashaan emphasized that specialized technical and engineering teams are conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure strict compliance with project timelines and quality benchmarks. She reiterated the ministry’s commitment to improving road conditions to better serve the public and align with the country's broader infrastructure development goals.

Meanwhile, Engineer Abdullah Bu Hamad, the supervising engineer for Contract No. (11) in the Capital Governorate, reported that Public Works teams are currently active on the Fifth Ring Road, specifically near the Passports Roundabout heading towards Jahra, where major maintenance works are being carried out.

Engineer Bu Hamad noted that the work includes laying a standard layer of asphalt (Type 3) as part of the ongoing road rehabilitation process, in full accordance with safety protocols and technical quality standards.

The comprehensive road improvement effort comes as part of a broader government initiative to modernize infrastructure and ensure long-term durability and safety across the country’s transportation network.
