KUWAIT CITY, July 9: Kuwaiti rally racer Mashari Al-Dhafiri secured an impressive third place in the (T.3) category during the third round of the World Desert Rally Championship (Rally Baja) held in Italy from the 8th to the 10th of the current month. Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) via phone, Al-Dhafiri expressed his utmost satisfaction with his performance in the rally, which covered a distance of 570 kilometers. He highlighted the intense competition he faced from some of the world's top desert rally drivers and his ability to match their pace, ultimately securing a commendable position.

Al-Dhafiri proudly announced that his achievement has propelled him to second place in the overall standings for the (T3) category in the World Championship. He emphasized his determination to further improve his standing during his upcoming participation in the (Rally Baja) event in Spain next week.

Al-Dhafiri also mentioned that the World Desert Rally Championship comprises eight rounds. He shared that his initial participation was in the first round, the (Hail Rally), but he unfortunately had to withdraw due to technical issues. However, in the second round held in Qatar, he made an impressive comeback and clinched the first-place position.
