KUWAIT CITY, July 19 (KUNA): Kuwaiti judo players returned from Amman on Friday with an impressive haul of 32 medals, showcasing their dominance at the West Asian Judo Championship for Youth and Juniors. Kuwait excelled in the junior individual and team events as well as in the youth team competitions, securing the top spot in these categories. Additionally, Kuwaiti athletes earned second place in the youth individual rankings. The medal tally included 24 gold, 2 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
Upon their return, Faisal Al-Humoud, Secretary of the Kuwait Judo Federation, expressed pride in the athletes' efforts to elevate Kuwait's status at the championship. Manwar Al-Enezi, Vice-President of the Federation and head of Kuwait’s delegation praised the players for their outstanding performances, which garnered admiration from both peers and spectators.
