Kuwait’s Interior Ministry to upgrade security services with advanced technology

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: Kuwait’s Ministry of Interior announced plans to enhance its security services through advanced electronic and smart technologies aimed at improving service quality for citizens and residents.

Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Ali Al-Adwani, made the remarks following an inspection of the General Department of Information Systems on Wednesday. He highlighted that the upcoming upgrades would facilitate public access to services via the government’s unified app “Sahel” and the ministry’s official website.

During the visit, Al-Adwani was briefed on the department’s current and future projects focused on developing the ministry’s technical infrastructure and improving integration across various security sectors. He praised the staff’s efficiency and commitment and emphasized the importance of continuing to enhance performance, accuracy, and speed in service delivery.

The new electronic systems are designed to simplify security and administrative procedures for users, ensuring alignment with international standards in security technology and digital services.

The inspection was attended by Acting Undersecretary Al-Adwani, Head of the Human Resources and Technical Support Sector Brigadier General Anwar Al-Yatama, and Director General of the General Administration of Information Systems Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Majid.
