Kuwait’s Electricity Ministry links with Public Works to streamline payments

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 6: Sources within the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy have disclosed the successful integration of the treated water request service with the Ministry of Public Works. This strategic linkage is aimed at streamlining the payment of state dues across various ministries for those availing themselves of treated water services.

These sources have emphasized that the connection with the Ministry of Works extends beyond just handling treated water requests. The Ministry of Electricity is actively pursuing electronic integration to facilitate all of its transactions and communications with various state agencies. Furthermore, efforts are underway to enhance payment systems at the Ministry of Works, enabling seamless electronic transfers.

Dr. Jassim Al-Stad, the Minister of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, has issued directives to extend this integration to the General Authority for Agriculture, along with other relevant entities. The ongoing initiative involves developing a streamlined system for the Authority to simplify the connection process. The Electricity Authority is concurrently working on advancing its systems to efficiently collect diverse dues while remaining in sync with the latest technological frameworks. This approach aims to enhance customer accessibility through multiple channels, including electronic payment methods.

The spokesperson highlighted the Minister’s commitment to fostering collaboration by facilitating periodic meetings among relevant departments in different ministries. This collaborative effort seeks to expedite the completion of transactions and eliminate the cumbersome documentation process employed in the past, whether through traditional paper methods or the use of CDs for information transfer within and between ministries, sectors, and departments.
