Lulwa Al Shamlan, Kuwait’s best-known child prodigy, delighted the audience at the Dar Al Athar Al Islamiyyah’s weekly Music Circle with a Classical Piano Recital.

The performance held at Yarmouk Cultural Centre on Wednesday to a full house demonstrated the youngster’s exceptional talent.

Al Shamlan started learning the piano at the age of four and within a short time, demonstrated improvement that would normally be seen over several years. She began performing in many concerts from the age of five which all received favourable reviews by audiences and media.

In 2009, Lulwa auditioned to Wells Music School in the UK and was accepted as a piano specialist.

Since then she has been the recipient of many awards and accolades locally and globally and continues to capture the hearts of her listeners everywhere.
