Kuwait’s Al-Sharaf brothers

DOHA, Oct 25 (KUNA): Kuwaiti athletes Ahmad and Khaled Al-Sharaf delivered outstanding performances at the Middle East Regional Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Doha, Qatar, capturing two gold, one silver, and one bronze.

Ahmad Al-Sharaf struck gold twice — first in the Gi category (gray belt) for the under-27 kg division, and again in the No-Gi category (gray belt) for the same weight class.

His brother Khaled Al-Sharaf earned a silver medal in the Gi event (gray belt) for the under-34 kg division and added a bronze in the No-Gi competition in the same class.

Their father, Eissa Al-Sharaf, expressed pride in their accomplishments, emphasizing his commitment to supporting his sons as they pursue international success and bring honor to Kuwait.

He also highlighted the importance of competing in regional championships, noting that such participation helps develop athletes’ skills and paves the way for future international achievements.
