Al-Shammari and Al-Hawal crowned with two gold medals.

DOHA, May 29: The Al-Nasr Women’s Weightlifting Team secured two gold medals at the inaugural Asian Masters Championships, currently taking place in Doha, Qatar, and concluding on Saturday.

Hadeel Al-Shammari clinched gold in the 45 kg weight category, while Sarah Al-Hawal earned top honors in the 55 kg division.

This marks a historic moment as the Al-Nasr Women’s Team is the first Kuwaiti team to compete in an Asian weightlifting championship.

The squad features a strong lineup of athletes: Amal Al-Sharifi, Abrar Al-Fahad, Nour Al-Abdullah, Haya Al-Mayas, Al-Zahraa Kamshad, Shahad Al-Otaibi, Maryam Abu Jabara, Arwa Al-Ateeqi, Sarah Al-Hawal, Hawra Al-Mousawi, and Hadeel Al-Shammari.
