KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: A Kuwaiti woman escaped death after her nephew stabbed her several times in her sleep, with the intention to kill her, due to family disputes.
The daily added, the woman was taken to the Adan Hospital in a critical condition while the suspect has been arrested and detained at a local police station, reports Al-Rai daily. According to a security source when the Operations room of the Ministry of Interior received a report about the incident, a security force with paramedics rushed to the place and found the woman in a pool of blood.
The incident happened in Al- Dhaher area and the woman was allegedly stabbed eight times. The suspect is believed to be in his 30s. Police have seized the tool with which he stabbed the woman. A case of attempted murder has been registered against him.
