DUBAI, UAE, Sept 8: The 37th Arab Club Basketball Championship, set to take place in Dubai, UAE, from September 25 to October 6, has delivered a balanced draw for the Kuwaiti teams.

Kuwait Club was drawn into Group B alongside Bahrain’s Al-Manama, Libya’s Al-Ahly Tripoli, and Lebanon’s Al-Antouni. Qadsia joins Group A with host UAE’s Al-Nasr, Syria’s Al-Fidaa Homs, and Yemen’s Shaab Hadramout. Kazma is in Group C with Qatar’s Al-Arabi, Oman’s Al-Seeb, and Yemen’s Al-Mina’a, while Group D features Lebanon’s Al-Hikma, Syria’s Al-Wehda, Oman’s Al-Bashaer, and Qatar’s Al-Rayyan.

The tournament will begin with a round-robin group stage, after which all teams advance to the round of 16. Matchups are set so that the first-place team of each group faces the fourth-place team of the paired group, while second-place teams meet third-place teams, ensuring competitive clashes leading to the quarterfinals.

Kuwait Club is preparing for an overseas training camp in Belgrade, Serbia, under Serbian coach Dušan Stojković. Qadsia will train in Cairo, Egypt, starting September 14, guided by Turkish coach Andak Baysir. Meanwhile, Kazma has reinstated Slovenian coach Bojan Lazic, who led the squad two seasons ago, and will hold a training camp in Dubai one week before the championship.
