KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9 (KUNA): The Kuwaiti national swimming team is gearing up for the second Arab junior championship, commencing Wednesday in Doha, Qatar. With significant participation and anticipated fierce competitions spanning six days, the team is set to compete in the 13-14 and 15-16 age categories.

Faisal Abu Al-Hassan, the head of the delegation and a member of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Aquatics Federation, shared with Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) before their departure that a total of nine swimmers would represent Kuwait in the tournament. He mentioned that the competition also includes the 17-18 age category.

The participating swimmers, including Mohammad Zabid, Hassan Jaafar, Hamad Al-Ghaith, Saud Al-Enezi, Abdullah Ahmad, Hassan Zaid, and Hamoud Al-Hamoud, along with Saba Ahmad under the guidance of Kuwaiti coaches Mohammed Jassem and Simone Testasca, the coach of the Kuwaiti Italian team, are geared up for the championship.

Abu Al-Hassan highlighted the team's thorough preparation through daily training in the lead-up to the tournament, expressing optimism for their success and hoping for commendable results in the upcoming competition.
