KUWAIT CITY, July 5: A delegation of Kuwaiti students, under the sponsorship of the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Giftedness and Creativity (SAGC), is participating in the 2025 International Chemistry Olympiad, which commenced Saturday in Dubai and will run until July 14.
In a statement to KUNA, the center affirmed that the participation forms part of its ongoing mission to support talented students and enhance their scientific abilities. The initiative is the result of close cooperation between the SAGC, the Ministry of Education, and Kuwait University.
A subsidiary of the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS), the center noted that this international involvement aligns with its long-term strategy to train and qualify students through rigorous year-long programs. These include both theoretical and practical modules, conducted under the guidance of internationally recognized experts and trainers in the field of chemistry.
The center emphasized that it seeks not only to showcase the abilities of young Kuwaiti talents on the global stage but also to strengthen the country’s presence in scientific and academic forums. This is in accordance with KFAS’s broader vision of supporting research, innovation, and the nurturing of youth potential.
SAGC extended its best wishes to the four participating students—Ali Behbehani, Ali Yousef, Manal Al-Kandari, and Ghazal Al-Mutairi—expressing confidence in their ability to deliver results that honor the name of Kuwait and elevate its standing in international scientific arenas.
The center reaffirmed its commitment to investing in the nation’s promising minds, honing their skills, and creating an environment that fosters excellence and innovation. It also reiterated its leading role in empowering national talent and preparing future generations to represent Kuwait across various global scientific platforms.
