CAIRO, July 16: The Kuwaiti junior squash team has departed for Cairo to participate in the World Junior Championships set to take place from this Sunday through August 1 at the Black Bull courts in the Egyptian capital.
The delegation is headed by Suleiman Al-Habib, Vice President of the Kuwait Squash Association, who serves as the delegation chairman. He is joined by Board Member Ahmed Al-Adwani (Administrator), Coach Ahmed Abdel-Aal, and four players: Khaled Al-Fawzan, Abdullah Hani, Abdul-Rahman Al-Sanea, and Abdul-Rahman Al-Kandari.
Upon arrival, the national squad began training at the Cairo Stadium squash courts and played several friendly matches as part of their final preparations.
The team had previously conducted an intensive training camp in Kuwait, which featured daily morning and evening sessions under the supervision of Abdel-Aal, technical advisor Majed Khan, and fitness coach Ahmed Al-Sayed. They were supported in training and matches by senior national team players Ammar Al-Tamimi, Ali Al-Ramzi, Adhbi Jumaan, and Abdul-Rahman Al-Maghribi.
Al-Habib underlined the significance of the upcoming championship, noting that it brings together some of the top junior squash talents from around the world. He expressed confidence in the Kuwaiti players' ability to progress to the advanced stages, highlighting their promising potential and the continued growth of the sport at home.
