Kuwaiti sports official selected as SG of Arab Ice Hockey Federation

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 23: The Arab Ice Hockey Federation has announced the selection of Mishal Flaiteh, Secretary-General of the Kuwait Winter Games Club, as its Secretary-General for a four-year term. This decision was made during the recent meeting of the Kuwait-based federation’s committees in Morocco, chaired by Faheed Al-Ajmi of Kuwait. The federation is actively working on finalizing the agenda for Arab ice hockey championships, aiming to enhance the skills of male and female athletes and prepare them for upcoming continental and international competitions.

Faheed Al-Ajmi shared that the federation is focused on fostering cooperation and knowledge-sharing in training, refereeship, and sports management to boost and promote ice hockey across the Arab world. Newly appointed Secretary-General Mishal Flaiteh expressed his enthusiasm for the Arab Ice Hockey Federation, considering it a crucial step in developing the sport in Arab countries. Flaiteh conveyed his gratitude to the federation’s general assembly for placing their trust in him and pledged to dedicate his efforts to advancing Arab ice hockey.
