Kuwaiti shooters secure gold at Arab Club Games

SHARJAH, Feb 4: The Shooting Club’s female team, comprising Israa Bahman, Ghazlan Hassan, and Adhari Al Balushi, clinched the top spot and the gold medal in the team competition at the Arab Club Games for Women, held in Sharjah.In addition to the team victory, emerging shooter Ghizlan Hassan secured the silver medal in the individual competition, showcasing her exceptional talent.

Fatima Hayat, Head of the Women’s Sports Committee at the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, commended the achievement of Kuwaiti female shooters, particularly highlighting the promising future of rising star Ghizlan Hassan. She extended congratulations to the Salwa Volleyball Club team for their significant victory. Speaking to Al-Seyassah, Hayat, who closely followed the tournament from Sharjah, urged those responsible for Kuwaiti sports to prioritize and emphasize women’s sports in future development plans.

In a related context, the Salwa women’s volleyball team demonstrated exceptional prowess by defeating their Jordanian counterparts, De La Salle, with a clean sweep of three goals. The match, hosted in the Khor Fakkan Club hall, marked the commencement of the second group competitions, with Salwa players dominating each half of the match with scores of 25-16, 25-12, and 25-13.
