LINFEN, China, (KUNA): The Kuwaiti shooting team added to its impressive medal haul at the ongoing Asian Shooting Championship in Linfen, China, clinching four medals on Wednesday—one gold, one silver, and two bronze—bringing their total to seven medals so far.
President of the Kuwait Shooting Sports Club and head of the delegation, Duaij Al-Otaibi, told KUNA that Abdulrahman Al-Faihan, Talal Al-Rashidi, and Nasser Al-Muqallid secured gold in the men’s team competition.
In the women’s team event, shooters Shahd Al-Hawwal, Sara Al-Hawwal, and Reem Al-Zamanan captured silver, while Abdulrahman Al-Faihan claimed bronze in the individual competition. A bronze medal was also earned in the mixed doubles, with Nasser Al-Muqallid and Sara Al-Hawwal teaming up for the podium finish.
This success follows their earlier achievement last Thursday, where Kuwait earned three medals—two gold and one bronze. On that day, shooters Mansour Al-Rashidi, Abdulaziz Al-Saad, and Abdulaziz Al-Faihan triumphed in the men’s team event, while Al-Rashidi and Al-Saad took gold and bronze, respectively, in the individual competition.
