GDYNIA, Poland, May 18, (KUNA:  The Kuwaiti girls' rhythmic gymnastics team delivered an impressive performance at the Polish International Championship held in Gdynia, securing a total of three medals – one gold and two silver – amid strong competition from 23 participating countries.

The Kuwait Gymnastics Federation hailed the team's achievement as a testament to the country's steady progress in rhythmic gymnastics. The medal-winning athletes included Fawzia Al-Abdulkarim, Raya Al-Qassar, Nabila Al-Kharafi, and Sarah Al-Bannai, whose performances stood out internationally.

The Federation emphasized the significance of competing in a tournament that featured top-tier athletes from across the globe, including countries such as Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, and the host nation, Poland. Other participating countries included the Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Turkey, New Zealand, Brazil, Egypt, and Kuwait.

The Federation noted that participation in such high-caliber competitions is part of its broader strategy to develop a team capable of competing in continental and world championships.

The Federation congratulated the athletes and acknowledged the key role of Ukrainian national coach Viktorija Vsyuk in guiding the team to success.
