‘Kuwaiti Rhythm’ promotes country’s heritage

Performers enthrall the audience during Kuwait Music Night titled ‘Kuwaiti Rhythm’ performed by Fathi Al-Saqer at the Yarmouk Cultural Centre.

Fathi Abdul Hameed Al-Saqer specializes in folk Kuwaiti songs and rhythms. At the age of fourteen he was interested in the Samri, Al-Naqazi and Al-Khomari music styles. He began to play and sing for those ancient arts and remained faithful to his country’s heritage.

The art of Kuwait is one of the most important arts of the Arabian Gulf and the Middle East, which is characterized by its original beauty of rhythms. The Music of Kuwait is characterized by harmony in the rhythm and applause (singing) accompanied by instruments, which adds a sense of pleasure to the actors and the audience.
