Kuwaiti preacher terminated for violating mosque charter

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 13: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs terminated a Kuwaiti from his duties as Imam and preacher, as it was proven that he violated the mosque charter and the organizing instructions. The Arab Times obtained a copy of the decision, requiring the Imam to vacate his allocated housing unit within three months from the date of issuance, based on the ministerial decision regulating residential care for those occupying religious positions. Sources told the Arab Times that there are strict instructions regarding the need to hold accountable anyone who makes a mistake or violates the Mosque Charter, and to prevent their exploitation in a manner that deviates from the noble mission of preaching
