TOKYO, Oct 15: Kuwaiti Ambassador to Japan Sami Al-Zamanan on Wednesday hailed the success of Kuwait’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, calling the national pavilion one of the most visited and widely acclaimed among the international exhibits.

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Zamanan expressed pride in Kuwait's prominent presence at the six-month-long global event, which concluded this week in Osaka under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives." He highlighted that the Kuwait Pavilion, titled "Visionary Lighthouse" (also referred to as "Beacon of the Future"), drew impressive crowds and enthusiastic feedback.

"Kuwait’s participation at Expo Osaka was truly remarkable. The pavilion stood out as one of the best and most popular, which was reflected by the long queues of visitors and the outstanding feedback," the ambassador stated.

Al-Zamanan noted that visitors entering the pavilion were met with an immersive experience showcasing Kuwait’s rich history, natural environment, cultural heritage, trade routes, and humanitarian legacy. The interactive journey, he said, "seamlessly connected the nation's past and present with its future ambitions toward sustainability, all presented engagingly and enjoyably."

According to the envoy, the Kuwait Pavilion left guests with "a lasting impression and a deeper understanding of Kuwait and the region." He also emphasized the role of the on-site Kuwaiti restaurant, which enhanced the experience by offering an authentic taste of the country's diverse culinary identity.

The Expo 2025 Osaka, which ran from April 13 to October 13, brought together 158 countries and regions, including Kuwait, under a shared vision for the future. Ambassador Al-Zamanan’s remarks underline Kuwait’s cultural diplomacy and its impactful presence on the global stage.
