KUWAIT CITY, Feb 12: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti who is believed to be in his 40s for possessing unlicensed guns (Kalashnikov rifle and a pistol) and threatening to kill his ex-wife, reports Al-Anba daily.

A security source said the arrest came after a Kuwaiti woman called the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry and said her exhusband was standing in front of her home in Ishbiliya armed with a gun and was threatening to kill her.

The Ministry of Interior dispatched an armed squad to the location and convinced the Kuwaiti to surrender and hand over the guns.

During interrogation the Kuwaiti said he had to visit his wife to solve a family dispute. He has been handed over to the concerned authorities.
