KUWAIT CITY, April 11: A total of 23 Kuwaiti intellectuals and writers rejected calls for discrimination, antagonism and racism against expatriates who reside alongside Kuwaitis on Kuwait soil, reports Al-Rai daily.

In a press statement, they affirmed, “At a time when the people all around the world are uniting and joining forces to confront the devastating coronavirus pandemic (COVID-19) which is sweeping through countries, there are voices being raised in Kuwait to discriminate expatriates residing on the good land of Kuwait, mostly our Egyptian brothers.

In response to these calls issued by the two sides, we express our rejection of all the implications of these messages and accusations with hints of discrimination and differentiation, and everything else that affects our good land and its people – prejudice and distortion of its good image.
