Kuwaiti gymnasts aim for glory in Jordan and Poland

The female gymnasts are ready for action.

KUWAIT CITY, May 15: The Kuwait Gymnastics Federation has announced the participation of two national team delegations in major upcoming events: the West Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships for Youth and Girls, currently underway in Amman, Jordan, and the International Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships for Girls, which begin today in Poland.

Fahd Al-Soula, Chairman of the Federation Council, confirmed that the artistic gymnastics delegation comprises 24 athletes — 8 male and 16 female gymnasts. The male athletes include Abdullah Muqdad, Musa Al-Sahaf, Saud Al-Rudaini, Ahmed Al-Rudaini, Saud Al-Sanawi, Khaled Al-Dahham, Hussein Abdulhadi, and Ali Abdulhadi.

The female artistic gymnastics participants are Nawal Al-Zamel, Sarah Al-Qattan, Dina Al-Jouan, Nour Al-Loughani, Dana Al-Shalfan, Maryam Al-Khalifa, Shahah Al-Mulla, Mai Al-Awadhi, Dana Ali, Dima Al-Anjari, Yasmine Al-Awadhi, Fatima Al-Nama, Dalal Al-Sayrafi, Adwa Al-Babtain, Lulwa Bahman, and Lian Al-Shabib. The delegation is led by the Federation's Treasurer, Nasser Al-Hilfi.

Meanwhile, the Rhythmic Gymnastics National Team will compete in Poland under the leadership of Federation Administrator Noura Al-Marshed. The team features four athletes: Fawzia Al-Abdulkarim, Sarah Al-Bannai, Nabila Al-Kharafi, and Raya Al-Qassar.

Al-Soula expressed his confidence in the athletes and wished both delegations success, hoping they would achieve outstanding results in their respective competitions.
